The Good News About Crock Pot Dinners!

Are You Interested In Ways To Create Delicious Crock Pot Dinners?

If you're like me, you like to eat scrumptious meals, but do not look forward to spending hours in the kitchen to prepare it. I can always put that cooking time to much better use away from the kitchen, and I'm betting (since you are reading this content) that you feel the same.

Well then, you've come to the right place. This article touches on 5 ideas to creating awesome crock pot dinners

Crock Pot Dinners Idea #1: The Basics

Since slow cookers work at low temperatures with covers on, there is very little liquid displaced during food preparation. With many cooking techniques, the water in meats and vegetables becomes vapor and evaporates. But with  crock pot dinners, there is no place for the steam to go, it simply collects on the lid and bastes the meal. So if you're inventing your own  individual crock pot dinners or adapting your preferred stove top and range recipes for the slow cooker, simply decrease the amount of liquid you use.

Crock Pot Dinners Idea #2: Roast Beef Tastes Great Prepared In A Crock Pot

Brown a roast (I prefer to make use of chuck roast) in a big pan on the stove until browned on each side, then put it in the crock pot and season it to taste. Switch the slow cooker on low and cook till the roast is done the way you like. (How long is determined by the size of the roast and just how done you want it. I prefer it tender to the stage of falling off the bone, so I typically cook it for roughly 5 hours or so. To get a more concrete concept of how long to cook a roast, consult the butcher when you purchase the roast, use a meat thermometer or read the tips within your crock pot instruction guide.

Crock Pot Dinners Ideas #3: Vegetarian Meals Are A Good Option

Since the majority of people consider crock pot dinners to be meat related, it may interest you to know vegetarian meals can be a scrumptious alternative. Crock Pot cooking is basically simple and you often simply need to add some ingredients, switch the device on, and allow it to cook for a few hours.

Crock Pot Dinners Idea #4:  Spaghetti Is Always A Crowd Pleaser

Spaghetti sauce tastes better whenever allowed to simmer for a prolonged period of time. Doesn't that sound like a perfect application for a crock pot?

Crock Pot Dinners Idea #5:  Pork Roast Is The Best

I prepare a pork roast using the same procedure as a beef roast, but without initially browning the meat. This is one of my all time favorites, as it can result in delicious barbecue sandwiches!

joe @ 11:13 pm #

I have a 5qt slow cooker. The instructions that came with the pot recommend filling the pot at least 1/2 full with ingredients yet the recipes, vegetarian, do not have enough of the ingredients to fill the pot 1/2 way.
Can I use the slow cooker with those recipes?

Thank you,

Joe
